Performance Issues In Latest Lightroom

Yet ever since improvement to the newest edition of Lightroom, I’ve noticed so as to the software has been working really slower for me than it had been earlier. At first I notioned it was a little to do with my computer, but I tartan it out on my Laptop, and it seems to be having several issues. There are a little problems, but I’ll go not quickly Before that, I would like to point out that I’m not saying that these problem are upsetting everyone, as I don’t know if it’s an extensive problem or not. There are reports of similar performance errors with the software on various forums though.

The main problem that I’m seeing is a hold-back in processing Sony RAW files, and a reduce in speed when bring in Fuji RAF files. I first noticed it when I was working on some files from a Canon camera. I had been using the newer uncompressed RAW format, and I had been working on some images ahead of the update and it was fine. Afterwards, the act when editing the same files was terrible. You could drag a slider for several seconds before the display would update. I checked some other images from different cameras, and they appeared to be ok, or at least, not as manifest.

I afterward, while that perhaps it was a trouble with the newer Sony uncompressed RAW format, so I make an effort it with some compacted RAW files. These weren’t quite as slow, but they were still very slothful. By connection, images as of my Fuji X-Pro2 (which have a bigger file size) are as responsive as normal. I’ve also noticed that building 1:1 previews seems to be talking a lot longer than it used to.

The other issue I that noticed was when I go to check a plan on my PC. I was importing several Fuji files off a memory card, and it was taking forever. I had a very quick retina MacBook Pro with a fast SSD and it was coming off a high speed SD card. This would usually bring in pretty rapidly to the software, but this time it was delightful ages.

I had do some research and there are a little threads on special forums where people have exposed that Lightroom seems to have an issue with technology with a huge amount of cores, and Xeons in exacting. My focal PC is a MacPro with 12 Cores, and it is Xeon based, so that would appear to follow that pattern. I’ve attempted all the normal troubleshooting tips, as well as optimizing the cataloger, and setting a large camera raw collection, but nothing seem to build any dissimilarity. My computer seems to be organization well otherwise, so it doesn’t appear to be a system trouble, and again, there are others coverage similar slow-downs.

I was extremely suspicious of this release of Lightroom when it came out because of the Smart Preview Hacked LIGHTROOM software was present as an alternative to in fact fixing the performance problem of the Photoshop Lightroom. Little did I know that performance would really get even worse. I guess it’s a good thing they additional that feature then, seen as it may be the only way to responsively edit assured images now. Which, is kind of crazy, but any way. It’s starting to get a bit ridiculous. Every edition seems to introduce some new bug. Several acquire fixed but I had been keep a listing of long running bugs in my notebook, and the list is starting to get attractive long.

I’d actually similar to know if someone else had issues with Sony files. I’m inquiring to know how well-known this is, or if it is just a few strange casual issue with my library, so if you’ve been having any issue please let me recognize in the remarks below.
